This fragment of bovine beta-casein with the sequence GPVRGPFPIIV (Gly-Pro-Val-Arg-Gly-Pro-Phe-Pro-Ile-Ile-Val) (Nakamura et al, 1995) has been shown to act as an inhibitor of angiotensin-1 converting enzyme (CD143) and therefore may have hypotensive activity.
