FLICE-2

[FADD-like interleukin-1 beta-converting enzyme-2] FLICE-2 is a member of the family of caspases and identical with MCH4. The enzyme is known now as Caspase-10. It shows an overall architecture and function similar to that of FLICE. The carboxyl-terminal half of the small catalytic subunit that includes amino acids predicted to be involved in substrate binding is distinct. The pro-domain of FLICE-2 encodes a functional death effector domain that binds to the corresponding domain in the adaptor molecule FADD (Vincenz and Dixit, 1997). FLICE-2 is recruited to both the CD95 and p55 TNF receptor signaling complexes and this complex formation is enhan ced by FADD ... ... ... ...
