NK1.1

Mouse NK1.1 is an antigen expressed by natural killer cells and a subset of T-cells in the NK1.1 mouse strains (C57BL, FVB/N, NZB) (Koo and Peppard, 1984; Sentman et al, 1989). The antigen is not expressed by several commonly used laboratory mouse strains (129, A, AKR, BALB/c, C3H/He, C57BR, C58, CBA, DBA/1, DBA/2, MRL/lpr, SJL). The antigen is known also as NKR-P1C [natural killer cell receptor P1C, or simply NKRP], NKR-P1.9 [natural killer cell receptor P1.9] (Ryan et al, 1992), and Ly55. Another designation is CD161c.
