[G-protein-coupled receptor 18] In databanks this G-protein-coupled receptor is known also as GPCRW. The gene encoding this receptor has been cloned by Ganz et al (1997) who localized the gene to human chromosome 13q32 and demonstrated that the receptor is expressed abundantly in testis and spleen with a lesser degree of expression in several other tissues associated with endocrine and immunologic/hematologic function.
