[Fibroblast-derived neutrophil-activating protein] This factor is produced by human skin fibroblasts after stimulation with IL1-alpha or IL1-beta (see: IL1). Production of this factor by these cells is not induced by incubation with bacterial endotoxins (Schröder et al, 1990, 1990).
Three forms of FINAP, designated FINAP-alpha (6.7 kDa), FINAP-beta (3.6 kDa) and FINAP-gamma (5.3 kDa), have been described.
