Edwards SC et al (2020) have identified a population of T-cells in mice and humans that differ from Alpha-Beta T-cells and Gamma-Delta T-cells by coexpressing alpha-beta and gamma-delta T-cell receptors. These hybrid Alpha-Beta-Gamma-Delta T-cells arise in the murine fetal thymus by day 16 of ontogeny, undergo alpha-beta-T-cell receptor-mediated positive selection into CD4(+) or CD8(+) thymocytes, and constitute up to 10 % of TCR-delta(+) cells in lymphoid organs. They express high levels of IL1R1 and IL23R and secrete IFN-gamma, IL17, and GM-CSF
