[adenosine deaminase complexing protein 2] The gene encoding this protein has been cloned by Koch and Shows (1980). ADCP2 is necessary for the expression of an adenosine deaminase-complexing protein in human-mouse somatic cell hybrids.
Ben-Shooshan and Parola (1998) have shown that the CP-I subunit of bovine adenosine deaminase complexing protein (ADCP) is identical with the human, mouse, and rat subunit, identical with DPP4 [dipeptidyl peptidase 4]. Darmoul et al (1994) have localized the gene to chromosome 2q24 and proposed that ADCP2 should be renamed DPP4.
